FAQ

Is caffeine bad for your eyes?
Caffeine can be a direct contributor to dry eyes and eye(lid) twitching.  A recent study found that caffeine can increase eye pressure on those with glaucoma or high eye pressures but had little or no effect on those with “normal” pressures.  Limiting or removing caffeine may help if any of the above are an issue.

Types of Exams

LASIK and PRK Counseling
Not everyone is a good candidate for laser correction surgery and it is our job to help you with that determination. The stability of your prescription over time and the accuracy of your prescription are very important factors. Other factors such as dry eye, pupil size, corneal thickness and curvature, and diseases other than in the eyes that may effect proper healing are taken into consideration. It will be required by the surgery centers that you have a fully dilated exam.
